Hi, my name is Jenny and welcome to Jen Looks and Cooks! Here, I want to share the things outside of my career that I am most passionate about:
The Looks: My obsession with fashion is inspired by my chic and always stylish mother. She taught me that you don’t have to empty your bank account to look polished and beautiful. Like her, I enjoy mixing and matching cheap finds with more classic investment pieces.
The Cooks: Also inspired by my family, food represents a warm and fuzzy slice of my childhood. Fantastic homemade meals would always come hand-in-hand with even better company and conversations. My desire to re-capture those pleasant memories fuels my love for cuisine and my never-ending search for yummy local restaurants, quick bites, bakeries, and tasting menus.
I am a complete science nerd and I currently work in the field of cancer biology research. However, because my career is so technical, I started this blog as an outlet for my love of writing, researching hot foodie spots, and staying on trend with style.
